Pricing

Honest pricing for tight budgets.

I've spent nearly 30 years building websites for small businesses and more than 25 working with nonprofits, so I know what your budget looks like: every dollar is already spoken for, and a surprise invoice can undo a good year. That's why my numbers are on this page instead of behind a sales call.

The monthly plan is one predictable number. Projects get a written, fixed-price proposal before any work starts, and the ranges below are where those proposals usually land.

My baseline

No surprises, ever.

Every project is quoted as one fixed price, in writing, before any work starts. If something bigger turns up along the way, I tell you what it is and what it would cost, and nothing happens until you say so.

  • ✓Fixed price before work starts
  • ✓Month to month, no contract
  • ✓You keep everything, always
Monthly plan

Website Care

One number a month. Pick the plan that fits your site.

Website Care

From $225/month

A standard informational site, with 3 hours of requests a month.

  • ✓Core, theme, and plugin updates, tested after each round
  • ✓Security monitoring and uptime alerts
  • ✓Backup verification
  • ✓Monthly test of forms and donation links
  • ✓Broken link scan and fix
  • ✓Up to 3 hours of requests each month
  • ✓A monthly visitor report: who's visiting, what they read, and where they came from
  • ✓A quarterly review of speed, mobile, and plugins, with improvements based on your visitor data

Website Care Plus

From $795/month

A working site: online store, events and registration, donations, member areas, or a database behind it. 10 hours of requests a month.

  • ✓Everything in Website Care
  • ✓Store, event, payment, and membership plugins tested on a copy of the site before every update
  • ✓Up to 10 hours of requests each month: event pages, store updates, campaign landing pages, data fixes, email sends, design
  • ✓Donor database or CRM troubleshooting when something stops syncing or a report looks wrong
  • ✓Priority scheduling around your events and appeals

Need more hands? Extra hours can be added to either plan; we set the amount in your proposal.

Nonprofits: your anniversary month is on me. Every year on the month you started, Website Care is free, my contribution to your mission.

Both plans start with a one-time onboarding month, $750–$1,500 depending on the state of the site: cleanup, accounts in your name, and the list of small fixes you've been meaning to get to.What onboarding includes +
  • ✓A full site assessment: core, theme, plugins, hosting, backups, and security, with a written summary
  • ✓Everything brought up to date, and anything unused removed
  • ✓Accounts and logins set up in your organization's name
  • ✓Backups, security monitoring, and uptime alerts switched on
  • ✓Analytics set up (Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity), with a monthly visitor report
  • ✓A recommendation on whether your platform is still the right fit
  • ✓Your list: the small fixes and updates that have been waiting for someone to do them
  • ✓A running document of how your site is set up, so you're never dependent on one person

You get a fixed quote after a first look. If the assessment turns up something bigger, like a hosting problem or a theme that needs replacing, I flag it with an estimate before doing extra work.

Month to month, no contract. Either of us can end it with 30 days' notice, and you keep everything.

Other monthly plans

Quoted after a short call.

Tech Support, Database and CRM Management, and the Fractional Technology Lead plan depend on the size of your team and the systems you run, so I price them after a first look. Same terms as Website Care: month to month, and you keep everything.

How a quote works

  1. 1A free 20-minute call about what's going on.
  2. 2A first look at your site or systems, at no charge.
  3. 3A written proposal: scope, timeline, and a fixed price. No surprises after that.
